Modern minimalist home makes best of indoors, outdoors
YOU could say Joe and Enza Surace’s 52 square Kialla Lakes home exhibits the best of the family’s Shepparton-based business- Aquazone Pools.
Built around the home’s centre focal point, a 9 x 4 meter stylish in-ground swimming pool, the home completed less than two years ago boasts a simple modern minimalist feel with an open plan living design.
Inside polished Select Tasmanian Oak floors, 2.6-meter high square-set ceilings with bulkheads create a streamline spacious atmosphere.
The family kitchen by Kitchewise Shepparton with striking Caesarstone bench top overlooks the dining and main lounge areas.
The home’s design is ideal. The lounge with large windows overlooking Kialla Lake’s third lake makes best use of the block’s positioning. The ‘backyard’ built inside the home which it forms a ‘U’ shape around provides privacy for its owners from passers by and onlooking houses around the lake.
At one end of the house, the master bedroom with ensuite overlooks the pool, at the other; a generously sized alfresco room provides the ultimate entertaining area, also overlooking the pool.
The main hallway is the third face of the home overlooking the pool. On one side it features recessed cut-outs adding character and definition to the home’s entryway, on the other, four large windows showcase the pool yard complete with rear feature stone waterfalls, a spa and stepping stones.
Taking just six months to complete as owner-builder and designers, the Surace’s say they’re happy with the result.
