As a long-term supporter of tennis in Australia, Shepparton’s ANZ bank was pleased to be able to give the Shepparton Lawn Tennis Club a cheque of $13,650 on Monday, September 2.

Through the ANZ’s Community Spotter Program, a customer was able to have a percentage of his business loan given to the Shepparton Lawn Tennis Club, who he supports as a committed member. The Community Spotter Program allows local community clubs and groups to register, and then a customer applying for a business loan can nominate that club and then a percentage of their loan goes into the club.

The Shepparton Lawn Tennis Club treasurer, Mick Bastian said, “We’re so grateful for this donation. We’ve recently spent a lot of money fixing up the fencing and resurfacing the hard courts, so this money will be a huge help.”

ANZ also provides grants of $10,000 to 20 tennis clubs or venues around the country through the ANZ Tennis Hot Shots community grants program.
