ON the lead up to this year’s MS Walk and Fun Run, former local resident, Adriana Condello (Grasso) is preparing to hand over more than $129,000 net profit to MS Australia, and to make it all the more special, she will be handing it over as a newly announced MS Ambassador.
Taking place on Sunday, May 31 in Melbourne, the 10th annual MS Walk and Fun Run aims to see $1.7M raised to help toward the treatment of those with MS and to help find a cure for the disease.
Adriana said, “I feel very honoured to have been given the title of, and the opportunity to be an, MS Ambassador. I am hoping that through my new appointment I can help others with the disease.
“It’s a good way to be able to give back for all the help I have received over the years and now I have the chance to be that help for somebody else.
“I am looking forward to this year’s event. It’s always a good day. There are 40 people in the team this year, which is a big effort.
“The walk and fun run is important for me because it changed my life four years ago and helped give me the motivation to get out of bed every morning and gave me a passion and drive. Seeing all the support on the day from family and friends means a lot to all of us with the disease.
“People still have time to register for the event. I’d love for anyone to join our team. Just search for ‘Udgies Crew’ on the website.”
