Photo: Supplied.THE ‘VB Raise A Glass Appeal’ will continue it’s tradition during Anzac Day commemorations, raising money and awareness for the welfare programs of the RSL and Legacy.

Since 2009 the campaign has raised over $2.4 million, with every dollar going directly to support serving and ex-service men and women of the Australian Defence Force and their families through the work of the RSL and Legacy.

VB has supported the Defence Force in a variety of ways over the last 100 years. The original idea for the Raise A Glass Appeal came from the image (shown above), which was discovered in the old Victoria Brewery. It depicts a group of soldiers from the 21st Australian Machine Gun Battalion who have formed a large VB symbol whilst serving in Egypt during WWII.

This year the campaign hopes to raise a further $1.5 million for the Appeal and is encouraging Australians to dig deep and make a contribution to the Appeal as well as acknowledge a past or present service man or woman by raising your glass this ANZAC Day.
