Call to wrap things up

It is coming up to Xmas and time to get things all wrapped up. Greater Shepparton City Council is no exception and would like to find community groups or not-for-profit organisations to wrap presents as part of its Community Gift Wrapping program.

The plan is that the organisation will have a stand in the Maude St Mall over the Christmas period funded by the Greater Shepparton City Council where they will wrap presents for shoppers for the cost of a gold coin.

The successful organisation will get $250 from the council plus get to keep the gold coins collected.

The successful applicants would be responsible for opening and closing the wrapping workshop. All stock is supplied.

Council’s Place Manager Bonnie McIntosh encourages local community groups to apply. “This is a fantastic opportunity for local community groups to promote their services and earn some additional income whilst removing the stress of gift wrapping from our shoppers,” she said.

“The Christmas wrapping service provides even more reasons to shop locally this Christmas and support our local traders.”

If you are available in the lead-up to Christmas please apply by completing an Expression of Interest via https://greatershepparton.smartygrants.com.au/CommunityGiftWrapping

Expressions of Interest will close on 1 November 2019.
