LOCAL car enthusiasts have plenty to honk about, with the Legends of the Mountain and Kyabram Show and Shine event taking place on February 23 and 24.

Boasting a huge line-up of talent, tickets for the Saturday evening supper event are already nearing capacity, but Sunday’s Show and Shine will be open for all.

Run by the Kyabram Lions Club in partnership with local car enthusiasts, Chris and Sheryl Hatch, the event promises to build upon the great successes of last year.

The Show and Shine portion of the event will be held on Sunday, February 24, at the Kyabram Showgrounds and will feature local car clubs and enthusiasts, House of Muscle apparel trucks, side show vendors, cars from the Legends of the Mountains 1970s and 80s, as well as special speeches from the celebrity attendees.

In attendance this year, there will be signatures and stories told by racing and motorsport legends, including: Dick Johnson (three time Bathurst 1000 winner and five time Australian Touring Car Championship winner), John Bowe (two time Bathurst 1000 winner and two time Australian Driver Championship winner), Joe Felice (manager of Holden Motorsport, 1968-1980) and John Sheppard (former Holden Dealer Team manager).

Gates open for the Sunday event at 8am and the price of admission is $10 per car payable at the gate or $5 adult entry.
