Since the 1950s, Harvey World Travel has achieved huge success in a competitive and constantly changing industry. Experience is vital to the success of any business, and with 40 years combined experience in the travel sector, staff at Harvey World Travel Shepparton are proud to have played their supporting role in the company’s success to date.

The first incarnation of Harvey World Travel was opened in 1951 by John Harvey. As airline tickets were commonly sold through real estate agents at that time, it originally fell under the banner of his family’s real estate business. This remained the case until the first stand-alone travel agency was set up in Cronulla, Sydney in 1969 and then later named Harvey World Travel.
“Harvey World Travel, as we know it today, began taking shape in 1979 when the first fully franchised store opened in West Gosford,” says David Rivers. “The move to a ‘total travel’ franchise model was the first of its kind in the world and changed the face of travel agencies in Australia.”
As part of anniversary celebrations, Harvey World Travel is distributing a special anniversary catalogue to 1.7 million households nationwide.
