Last Saturday the Shepparton Runners Club (SRC) celebrated their 40th birthday with a gala night at the Shepparton Golf Club.
The night was celebrated without running shoes or sporting apparel, but with suits, dresses and cocktails, some opting for water with a long run planned for Sunday morning.
Guest speaker, Steve Moneghetti attended with an insightful talk about his experiences in life and sporting career which left many listeners inspired. He also had a meet and greet with the younger members of the club.
Also on the night, there was a silent auction put on by #voiceforkids with all money raised going to GV CASA, with items donated by local businesses.
Organiser Melanie McAuliffe said “Thank you to all of the fabulous people who attended the night. It was wonderful to sit back and look at all the smiling faces of those who attended, especially the original members who had a lot of great stories to share”.
