CRICKET Australia has shown multi-coloured support for Zaidee’s Rainbow Foundation, holding a special Zaidee’s round of cricket recently and using bats with Zaidee’s Rainbow Foundation grip.
Zaidee’s Rainbow Foundation CEO, Allan Turner said, “The last three years we have had Zaidees rainbow cricket groups and over the last four years have been the official charity members for Australian Cricket Association (ACA).
“With that we get the support of the ACA cricket players, both men and women.
“This kind of support helps to get the conversation happening around the importance of organ and tissue donation. Having the level of support we have from the most elite sporting athletes when representing Australia is a great message for us as a foundation.
“Some players have kept the grip on their bats and we should see some players using the grip in the finals as well.”
