LAST week, Crime Stoppers Victoria launched a community safety roadshow in conjunction with emergency services, designed to empower individuals with practical information to help make their homes and communities safer. The event also aimed to build greater engagement with emergency services and first responders.

Held at Riverside Plaza, the community safety roadshow featured local CFA and police officers ready for the community to ask questions and discuss safety precautions for the home, the individual and the wider community.

Shepparton Police Leading Senior Constable, Glenn Gibson, only had high praise for the organisation.

“Crime Stoppers is a great resource for the community and we really encourage people to use it when they have something to report,” Mr Gibson said, “Often people see things that they think the police already know about, but we’d rather hear it twice than not at all.”

If you see something suspicious, you can anonymously report this information to Crime Stoppers Victoria by calling 1800 333 000 or reporting online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
