Cries of foul play from Victorian National Parks over the Murray Darling Basin Authority dividing submissions into categories seems more than just a little lame.
Complaining that some submissions were ignored or censored, strangely Parks’ didn’t seem to have a problem and certainly didn’t publicly complain, when the vast majority of submissions which opposed the creation of National Parks were ignored during the Victorian River Redgum Forests investigation and National Parks were created anyway, devastating local communities.
Nor did Parks’ cry foul when submissions were ignored during the NSW Redgum Forest investigation and they didn’t even complain when the recently defeated, incompetent Labor Government declared National Parks in NSW before the report was completed and released to the public. Parks’ didn’t seem to have a problem with the books being cooked during the Redgum Forest’s investigations.
Could it be just a little hypercritical to only be complaining about submissions being ignored when they are your submissions or support your views?
