Shepparton Hotel among properties not sold at auction

ONE property at Friday’s Damian White and Son Real Estate Inaugural Select Property Group auction at The Carrington Hotel in Shepparton, sold under the hammer.
Around 150 people turned out to witness Greater Shepparton City Councillor, Milvan Muto’s Shepparton Hotel passed in with no bids and vendor bidding not allowed.
At closing, auctioneer, Damian White said he was confident the property would sell within a matter of days claiming expressions of genuine interest from multiple buyers.
Mr White said he was also confident 173-175 High Street, Shepparton property, occupied by Pets on Parade, passed in at $640,000, and 52 McLennan Street, Mooroopna property, occupied by Billy’s Bakehouse, passed in at $340,000, would likely sell over the coming week.
The only property that sold was a two acre industrial redevelopment site at 3 Wheeler Street, Shepparton that sold for $650,000 to a phone bidder.
Early at the auction Mr White said bidding was disappointing.
He said that the High and McLennan Street properties would sell for only marginally higher amounts than those which they were passed in at during the auction.
