Dookie awarded 18 new scholarships

With a reputation as one of Australia’s best agricultural colleges, Dookie campus of the Faculty of Veterinary and Agricultural Sciences has been awarded funding by the Australian Department of Education to provide 18 Destination Australia Scholarships.

The Destination Australia Program was established in March 2019 to attract and support international and domestic students to study in regional Australia, to grow and develop regional Australian tertiary education providers and offer students a high quality learning experience.

Dookie campus director, Ros Gall said: “This is a wonderful opportunity to support and encourage students who might not have the chance to study at Dookie, and we know that students who study at Dookie are far more likely to seek regional careers, building capacity and contributing to the economic viability of regional Australia.”

The faculty has a longstanding history of offering world-class education at its regional campus in the Goulburn Valley area, with a focus on agricultural growth and sustainability. Dookie campus is a 2,440-hectare agricultural facility located near the towns of Shepparton and Benalla in Victoria, Australia.
