Last weekend saw a win for the SRP Mud Dogs over the Hurleys Hotel Hounds in the GV Bush Bash T20 cricket tournament.
The Mud Dogs were 4 wickets for 149 over the Hounds at 7 wickets for 146 at stumps.
Other games in the first round were the Cobram Panel Works Panthers at 5 for 133 beating the Jarvis Delahey Crushers at 6 for 131
The Bush Bash is rural Victoria’s first franchised T20 competition that promotes cricket to all community groups leveraging the success of the Big Bash with the support of Cricket Australia & Cricket Victoria.
The Valley’s best will go head-to-head, with teams made up of at least 1 U19 player and up to 2 key players, giving others the chance to play with and against the best cricketers in the region. To be eligible players must be registered for the 2019-2020 season. Games will be free entry with the option of a gold coin donation.
