FORGET about drive-in cinema, nowadays, everyone’s all about movies by the pool! Thanks to Greater Shepparton City Council’s Activities in the Park initiative, poolside film features are something that’s becoming quite synonymous with the region.

Grab your floaties, togs and a towel and wander down to the Tatura Swimming Complex this Saturday, January 19 to catch the 2017 kids classic Ferdinand on the big screen.

For an outrageously cheap fee of only $3.70 for kids and $5.20 for adults, patrons are treated to a swim, games and film. Kids can remain in the pool until just before dark and then a big screen is set up poolside to enjoy the cinema under the stars.

Aquamoves workgroup co-ordinator of the outdoor season pools, Tess Whelan said, “We encourage people to bring whatever they need to be comfortable by the pool. It can get cold, so watch the weather and bring a blanket if required.

“On the evening, there will popcorn and other food and drinks available at the kiosk.”

To have a look at all the programs running for kids throughout school holidays as part of the Activities in the Park, simply download the ‘Get Moooving’ app for your phone. The app contains details on all the activities and is linked with Google maps so you can locate where activities are being held. Otherwise, visit the website at www.getmooovingshepparton.com.au, like ‘Get Moooving Greater Shepparton’ on Facebook, or give them a phone call on 5832 9431.
