AS THE dust settles on 2018, the New Year is already rife with exceptional events planned to get the family out and about enjoying the holidays. The Alexandra Pro Rodeo returns for another night of entertainment under lights this Saturday, January 12 at the Dame Pattie Menzies Centre.
There will be live music, a bucking bull and other stalls set up in Grant Street on Saturday morning from 9am until 2pm. Punters are invited to enjoy a coffee amidst the Alexandra street life in the morning in the lead up to gates opening at 4pm for the rodeo.
Melbourne country rock band The Screaming Eagles will perform at the rodeo this year from 5pm til 5:45pm, with non-stop rodeo action commencing thereafter.
Alexandra Rodeo organiser, Andrew Embling said, “There will be plenty of food, sideshow rides and clothing resellers selling western clothing.
“Be sure to take along a chair and blanket for this strictly non-BYO event.”
