Extension of Tatura Museum underway

THE Tatura Museum is today seeing upgrade works begin, which will include an extension of 240 square meters.

Crow Constructions was awarded the tender with works expected to be complete in June 2019.

Greater Shepparton City Council Manager Neighbourhoods, Amanda Tingay said the works will provide much needed improvements to the 30-year-old museum.

“The museum will undergo an extension which will help provide more space for exhibiting, storage and rotation of the collection and greater preservation,” Ms Tingay said.

“We are really excited about the possibilities the upgrades will allow and are looking forward to the end results.”

The contractor will commence with site clearance and demolition of redundant concrete hardstands.

Excavation and placement of concrete footings, erection of the concrete wall panels and steel work will follow in March and continue through to April.
