Footy club offers support to other league

The folks around those towns in the Upper Murray are doing it tough following the summer bushfires in their region. Through the kinship of football, a club in another league is putting on a fundraiser to help them get through hard times.

The Violet Town Football/Netball Club are inviting everyone to come along to their ground for a fundraiser for the Upper Murray Football/Netball League. This will support the towns/clubs in this region who have suffered through the disastrous fires.

The fundraiser is on Friday, February 28 at the Violet Town Football/Netball Club starting at 5.30pm

The event coincides with the AFL State of Origin clash which will be screened on their giant 150” projector screen in the clubhouse as well as live music (open mic) being performed out on the ground for those who aren’t sport minded.

Entry to the BBQ is with a gold coin and the tins will be rattling to help raise funds.
