New owners at Taigs

YOU may have noticed that the Taig Bros Wheeler Street premises went through a change recently, with John Taig retiring the Taig Bros name and new owners, North East Isuzu, erecting their signage.

The North East Isuzu journey began with Charlie Emanuele (dec), who had worked in the Adelaide market selling wholesale cars in the 1970s. Then in the mid 1980s he began selling second-hand trucks and retailing used cars. In 1993, his son, Tony began an apprenticeship with the company and in 1995, Isuzu trucks approached Charlie to start a dealership in Burton.

Today, Tony runs the company and his younger brother, Joe is responsible for all things Iveco, keeping with the family owned, customer focussed culture created by their father.

The Shepparton North East Isuzu offers the same genuine service formally offered including being dealers for Isuzu and Iveco as well as providing sales, service and spares for any make or model of truck.

North East ISUZU will help you every step of the way, by tailoring your truck to your needs, even after you drive away, support is available in a number of areas including, engineering, paint and panel and quick easy finance options and has a range of ready-to-go stock, something unique to the business.

This new venture is the first time the company has expanded interstate, with North East Isuzu director, Tony Emanuele saying they chose Shepparton due to its strong transport industry.

Tony said, “We have very strong confidence in the Goulburn Valley and northern Victoria and we are very excited to be here.

“We are renowned for our A+ customer service throughout South Australia and we are proud to be bringing that to Victoria.

“Our customers and our staff are our top priority, and we are pleased to have been able to help support the local Shepparton community by creating extra jobs.

“We’ve got a great team around us. My dad got the core people together when building the business…people who had grown up together so it is a team oriented environment with a family type culture.”

Drop in and have a chat with the friendly team at North East Isuzu and check out the excellent range of Isuzu and Iveco trucks, large and small, at 6 Wheeler Street, Shepparton or phone 5821 9811.
