FERRARI Park on McLennan Street, Mooroopna is fast becoming a social hub and with community input recently closing on the development of a master plan for the future of the park, a grand outlook is taking shape for its future.
Ferrari Park currently provides a great family friendly atmosphere with an onsite BBQ facility, play equipment, toilet facilities, skate park, rotunda, park furniture, free car parking and is home to the increasingly popular Mooroopna Farmers Market, which runs every 3rd Sunday of each month from 8.30am to 1.00pm and provides a great range of fruit and vegetables, meat, dairy, eggs, preserves, bakery, plants and flowers.
After realising the potential of Ferrari Park, Greater Shepparton City Council recently sought community input into the development of a master plan to identify future development opportunities as well as ensuring that current facilities on site meet the expectations of the local community.
Greater Shepparton City Council, Cr Cherie Crawford said, “It is important to plan for the future of Ferrari Park as a significant entrance to our community and as an opportunity to assist in the identification of Mooroopna.
“Now that we have gathered information from the community, we will then have a draft master plan drawn up. More consultation will take place on that plan,” Cr Crawford said.
