Following on from a successful year doing their VCE, some students have begun to get offers from tertiary institutes for entry to study next year.

La Trobe University has begun to make offers to some Shepparton graduates. Kelsey Moylan-Maker, a graduate from Wanganui Park Secondary School, has been offered a place with La trobe to undertake a Bachelor of Health Services after which she intends to undertake a Masters in Social Work.

Head of Campus at La Trobe University, Shepparton, Elizabeth Capp said, “Early notification is great for student outcomes. Normally it would take place in January but now we are able to let them know coming directly on top of them getting their VCE results. “

La Trobe University expects to take in around 150 new students in the new year. “With this intake we will be making more places in nursing,” said Elizabeth. Tenders for the project planning for the proposed extensions to the campus close this week which will enable an even greater intake in years to come.
