THE gradual easing of restrictions in regional Victoria has allowed Shepparton fitness and leisure centre, Aquamoves, to provide access to some additional services.

Further to the free virtual group fitness classes Aquamoves is live-streaming via Zoom, they are now running outdoor group fitness classes and one-hour outdoor lap swimming sessions.

After the latest announcement on Sunday, the team is now also busy planning a safe return to swimming lessons. With the 25m indoor pool still under construction, the focus will be on younger students as lessons will be heavily limited in capacity. Aquamoves will notify the community when places are available.

At this stage, the hydrotherapy pool cannot be opened to the public.

“We know the facility is integral to maintaining and improving our community’s health and wellbeing and we are very pleased to be able to open further services to welcome back our community, members and visitors to the centre,” Aquamoves centre manager, Marcus Cook, said.

“The ability to bring back some of the centre’s core services is a real positive for the community.”
