KEEPING the kids entertained during the break is sometimes a hassle, but thanks to the Greater Shepparton City Council’s Activities in the Park program, outdoor fun is easily attained for all these school holidays.

The Activities in the Park program provides an opportunity for local residents and visitors to participate in free and low-cost activities, encouraging everyone to be healthy, active, happy and connected. The program offers many activities that suit a range of ages, abilities, interests and locations.

For January and February, there is quite a lot on around the Goulburn Valley for all to enjoy, with events spread across the municipality. Some of the school holiday’s summer activities include scavenger hunts, circus skills and training, kite making, stand up paddle boarding, spotlight walks, orienteering and even movies in the pool. Remember, many of these activities are free, however the activities at the pool require entry.

Greater Shepparton City Council Healthy Communities Officer, Carmen Nicholson said, “These school holidays, come down to one of our events and participate in some fun outdoor adventures.

“Most activities require registrations at the time of the activity and some require pre-registration as identified in the program.”
