In what must be a massive injection towards community optimism, LS Concrete is adding 300 new jobs to their precast plant in Benalla.
In order to attract the new workers, the company is planning a number of recruitment roadshows across the region. According to the latest statistics, these new jobs will add around 10 percent to the total number of employed people in the town.
Owner of LS Precast, Ashley Day said, “This is a great opportunity for school leavers in particular to get a foot in the door of the construction and manufacturing industries.”
Youth unemployment has been a problem for the region and it’s hoped this new plant will go a long way towards alleviating a lot of that. The jobs being advertised are available for immediate start.
