WOW Women event helping locals achieve health, wealth and happiness

THIS year’s WOW Women event will allow attendees the chance to spend a day where they can learn the importance of saying ‘I come first,’ through the inspiring theme of #MYTURN.

Held on Sunday, May 26 between 10am and 3pm (doors open at 9:30am) at The Woolshed, the highly successful event is now in its fifth year running and has helped to inspire people across the region to be empowered and bring about positive and successful change in their lives.

This year attendees will hear from guest speakers, Marcus Pearce, Kim Morrison and Tracey Sofra.

Marcus will be taking you through the eight steps for personal and professional transformation. As a journalist by profession who cut his teeth in radio and TV alongside Australia’s biggest names in sport and show business, today Marcus is the director and CEO of The Wellness Couch, Australia’s number one health and lifestyle podcast network with annual downloads in excess of two million and lifetime downloads exceeding eight million. His most popular podcast, 100 Not Out, comprises hundreds of interviews with some of the world’s happiest and longest-lived people. Each year Marcus travels to the small Greek Island of lkaria, known as the island where people forget to die.

Marcus grew up in Melbourne and today lives in Byron Bay with his wife, Sarah and three-soon to be four children.

Kim will talk about self-care being your divine responsibility. Kim’s journey and all she has accomplished to date have all stemmed from her unwavering self-belief and her deep understanding that you must also take care of yourself first and foremost. Kim set a world record as the youngest female to run 100 miles in less than 24 hours in 1989. 68-year-old world record holder Cliff Young was her mentor at the time and to this day lives by his ethos that success is 90 percent mental and 10 percent physical. She has used her running story as a direct metaphor for life-riding the highs, hitting the walls, pushing through the pain barriers, crossing the line and never, ever giving up! Kim believes it is your inner power, passion and commitment and having truckloads of self-belief that distinguishes you as an achiever. As a five times best-selling author, creative director of Twenty8, aromatherapist, health and lifestyle educator and a multi-tasking mum and wife, Kim is someone who shares her essential tools for self-care, discipline, leadership and teamwork and most of all how to have an attitude with sparkle.

WOW Women Group founder, Tracey Sofra will also be a guest speaker and will talk about money mastery and the mindset of abundance. Tracey said, “This event will shift your mindset and attitudes with high energy, humour, authenticity and world class thought leadership. Learn and be inspired by those who know what it takes to reach greater achievement and fulfilment and enjoy their best health, wealth and relationships.

“The WOW Women event is not just for anyone. It’s for women and men wanting to level up. Those who are ready to challenge the status quo and create an excuse-free way of living and working. It’s an incredible event full of inspiration, motivation and practical tools and solutions.

“There is no better time to be in the company of those that will encourage and uplift you to be the best version of yourself.

“My vision is to empower women as I feel I have a connection with them. This year we will be talking about making sure you look after yourself and be strong in yourself. It’s your turn.

“Even if you take one thing away to help lead you down the path you need to go down at this time in your life, then the day has been a success.”

WOW Women and the Community Fund Goulburn Valley are also continuing their partnership in helping young regional women pursue their dream of tertiary education, through their special Liftoff Education Scholarship Fund with all proceeds from the event going toward offering the scholarships to young women.

Tickets for the event are $99 each, $79.20 for WOW members, $169 for mother and daughter or $880 for a table of 10 and $850 for a corporate table of 10.
