APPLICATIONS for the January intake for the headspace Youth Advisory Council (YAC) are now open.
The YAC Members do so much for not only the local centre, but also for our local youth and wider community audience. Youth members get to work on a number of different projects while learning to develop confidence, public speaking skills and to be a voice for youth mental health.
The YAC will have six volunteer positions, with each position offering a different skill set. The volunteer roles are perfect for young people who are looking to work in the ‘helping people profession’, events, and or, young people just wanting to be involved in helping other young people. People between the ages of 16-25 can now apply.
