THANK YOU FOR HELPING FIND OUR BOYS A VOICE

Dear Editor,

I wish to take this opportunity to extend a heartfelt thank you to S.S.R (State School Relief), to Sue Karzis its CEO, to Bank First and Gandek Philanthropy. A huge thank you also goes to Merryn Saraiva for her tireless efforts to establish and organise for those who need it most to receive the iPads. To Reece, Verney Road School’s IT guru, thank you all.

What this means to people like us who can truly explain this.

Never have we heard from two of our boys, I’m hungry, I’m thirsty, I’m sick, I’m happy or sad…not I want or can I have…none of those things…even more important like I love you or I need to go ‘totti.’

One iPad was affordable for us so we introduced it to one of our boys and on his first day with it he tap tapped away. “I want orange juice,” it said for him. A communication at last! ‘OJ’ he got, so thank you, thank you all so much for helping find our boys a voice.

Yours sincerely,

Michael and Donna Watts
