GREATER Shepparton City Council has been working with Remembrance Parks Central Victoria (RPCV) regarding the transfer of management of Pine Lodge and Kialla West cemetery trusts. The transfer of management for both cemeteries to RPCV will be effective on July 1, 2019.

RPCV is well experienced at delivering a high quality and caring service with compassion. The evolving needs of the Shepparton community are maintained, creating ongoing and accessible remembrance into perpetuity to the Shepparton region.

RPCV CEO, Dean McElroy said, “There has been a considerate and detailed level of thought and planning undertaken and is ongoing to ensure the transfer of cemetery operations is completed in a timely and appropriate manner.

“RPCV is not planning any changes to the sites, and we will maintain the current standards of maintenance delivered by Greater Shepparton Community Council. We will also ensure that community engagement continues.”

For community members who wish to find out more information, there will be two community consultation sessions occurring in Shepparton.

For information about these sessions and to view frequently asked questions regarding the transfer or trusts, visit www.rpcv.com.au or give them a phone call on 1300 266 561.
