This year’s annual event, held on Sunday, December 22 will feature a grand line-up of traditional carols to encourage the audience to sing along, special guests and will see Artist, Adam Toms headline and team up with Local Artist, Briana Lee to perform their self written Christmas carol, coming to a spectacular end with the traditional fireworks display at 9:30pm. Weather permitting, CBC will see thousands of locals gather at the Queens Gardens on Welsford Street, with a wet weather venue set aside at the Multi Purpose Pavilion at the Shepparton Showgrounds.
Greater Shepparton City Council Festival and Events Officer, Liz Connick said, “This year’s event we will see the return of nine 46 inch LCD panels mounted throughout the Queens Gardens. This solves many of the viewing problems.
“Shepparton Carols by Candlelight is an iconic tradition that has enjoyed a proud history of bringing the community together to celebrate. Every year 1,000s of people come together to relax with their families and friends at a very busy time of year.
“It’s a chance to stop and soak up the amazing talent we have in Shepparton.
“Proceeds from the sale of carols books, candles and glow merchandise are donated to the many community groups involved in the celebration.
“If you have never been to Shepparton’s Carols by Candlelight before make this year your first, you will be very surprised how the Queens Gardens transform into a Christmas celebration like no other,” Liz said.
