More milk required as expansion plans progress

Photo: Alicia Zeqir.ONE of Australia’s largest independent milk supply companies, United Dairy Power (UDP) has commenced its region wide campaign inviting local farmers to join in preparation for the upcoming season and the opening of the UDP Shepparton plant planned for the second half of 2012.
The Shepparton plant itself will consist of a 200 million litre milk processing facility, which is anticipated to create up to 100 new job opportunities as well as create additional support for local industry.
UDP General Manager, Darryl Cardona said, “These are exciting times not only for UDP, but for the surrounding dairy industry as well.”
“We’re excited to announce the appointment of a dedicated Field Services Representative for Northern Victoria, Mr John Newlan.”
“John has been in the industry for more than 20 years and is a highly respected member of the community. We’re pleased to have him on board.”
“John will liaise directly with dairy farmers and will be responsible for recruiting new milk supplies. He will effectively be the face of UDP on farms throughout the Goulburn Valley and Northern Victoria.”
