CAR and vehicle fanatics across the region have been pulling in to the Shepparton Motor Museum to celebrate its 7th birthday and to enjoy the spectacular Motor Mechanika. With only two weeks of the event remaining, get down quick to check out the 30 local businesses holding stalls and exhibits across a variety of motoring elements including, engine displays, parts and accessories displays, vehicle restorations, sandblasting, trucks and much more.

The space is not only just dedicated to motoring; there is also an entire section for bicycles and they even have an old Ollies fried chicken tram trolley set up in the museum space. For those unfamiliar, Ollies is an iconic part of Shepparton’s history that paved the way for KFC to enter the Australian market. By the 1990s, there were many Ollies restaurants around Victoria, including the tram on display at the Motor Museum that used to operate along St Kilda beach.

Shepparton Motor Museum operations manager, Jenna Buzza said, “We have a huge automotive history here in Shepparton and during the Motor Mechanika event we are proud to be showcasing the vast talents of the local community.

“It’s not just car history we have on display here and we are filled with items representing the entire automotive industry.”

Entry to Motor Mechanika is from $10 per person and includes entry into the Shepparton Motor Museum. Motor Mechanika is running up until March 17 at Emerald Bank, 7725 Goulburn Valley Highway.
