The free program has been designed for participants aged 7-13 years who are above their ideal weight.

Goulburn Valley Health Dietician, Rebecca Monk says, “It’s an education based program where the kids learn about sugars and nutrition and where activities are about having fun rather than just exercising.”

Participation is still welcome for the 10 week program, which is delivered twice a week for two hours. The first hour consists of games based activities about nutrition/behaviour change and the second hour alternates between land and water-based exercise.

MEND encourages a family approach and, as such, a parent or a carer must attend all sessions with the child. MEND is completely free for children and families to attend and sessions will be run on Mondays and Wednesdays, 5-7pm at Aquamoves.

For more information or bookings contact Rebecca Monk or Jade Cortney on 5832 3100.
