For the past 64 years, ConnectGV has been working out of a set of buildings that they have now outgrown.

Having been granted $2M from the Federal Government through the Community Development Grants along with $3.3M raised by the organisation, they are able to commit to the construction of a new building.

At a on-site ceremony to mark the start of construction, ConnectGV CEO, Carolynne Frost thanked all of those who worked behind the scenes to help get the organisation to where it was.

Vice-chairman of Connect GV, Cam Mangiameli said, “The new building will have all of the facilities we need. It will be fit for purpose and secure with a single point of entry.”

Local Federal Member for Nicholls, Damian Drum officiated at the launch said, “This was an election commitment that we were able to fulfil. I rang Cam on the night of the election when it became clear that we were being returned and told him he would get his two million for the important work ConnectGV does.”

Local builder, Moretto Constructions will be doing the construction work.
