DR CHIEN-I (Jack) Wang is joining the team at Wyndham House Clinic and is enthusiastic to be bringing his expertise to Greater Shepparton.
Born in Taiwan, Dr Jack moved to New Zealand with his parents at a young age where he enjoyed a wonderful childhood.
In 2008, after finishing his initial studies in biomedical sciences, he moved to Australia and studied medicine under Monash University. Following this, he spent a year as a medical student in Yarram in 2011, where he was first introduced to the field of rural general practice.
Since graduating in 2012, Dr Jack has worked predominately for Eastern Health, but also spent a considerable amount of time in Bendigo and Bairnsdale and is excited to be joining a team of health professionals at Wyndham House Clinic.
Dr Jack recently completed a diploma of palliative care under the Royal College of Physicians and hopes to bring his newly gained knowledge to the Shepparton community. He can also speak Mandarin, Chinese, Taiwanese and non-medical Japanese.
“I am enthusiastic and excited to work away from the crowded city scene and join the team at Wyndham House Clinic,” Dr Jack said, “My other interests include minor procedures, chronic disease management, preventative medicine and he I definitely nag you to quit smoking during my consults.”
