While some people loved working out at home through the pandemic, others struggled to find the motivation to get it done. As restrictions are gradually being eased, gyms are now able to open. Of course, there are regulations that must be followed, such as no more than 20 people are allowed in the gym at any one time.

At Aquamoves, the gym, indoor 25m pool and hydrotherapy pool are now all available to the public as well as group fitness classes. They have set sessions that must be booked online to ensure compliance with restrictions on the number of people in the facility. Those attending must also bring their own towel and drink bottle. Aquamoves have sanitisation stations set up and equipment must be cleaned before and after use.

“We’ve loved being able to provide health and wellness tips online to our community through this challenging time. However, we’re very happy to get everyone back in the centre to keep fit and healthy” said Aquamoves work group officer – health and wellbeing, Carien Hesselberg.

Memberships are still frozen at Aquamoves and they are using a pay as you go system which is available for members and non-members.
