Northern Victoria sporting clubs to receive funding

54 sporting clubs across northern Victoria are set to share in a total of $160,104 in VicHealth Active Club Grants Funding.

The new funding will help local sports clubs across Victoria deliver more opportunities for women and young girls to get active, and also supports clubs to implement new social and modified sports programs that appeal to less active Victorians, including people living with a disability.

Included in the long list of clubs to receive a share in this funding are Benalla Basketball Association, Echuca Moama Rockets, Rochester Basketball Association, Shepparton Cycling Club, Shepparton Swans Football and Netball Club, and Tatura Lawn Tennis Club.

Member for northern Victoria, Tania Maxwell said, “Through these grants, more people in northern Victoria will be able to participate in sporting activities and create opportunities for people regardless of age, ability, background or gender.”
