Offender sought after $43,500 theft

AN unsuspecting family living in Lincoln Drive in Shepparton returned home late in the evening on Thursday, March 14 to find that their premises had been broken into and they had been the victims of a burglary, which has left them $43,500 worse off. The offender who entered into the premises between the hours of 6pm and 8:40pm via a rear window, ransacked various areas within the Lincoln Drive home and removed several items from the property including an iPhone 4, a gold coloured bracelet, one black and pink Chanel Classic hand bag, one pink Lady Dior, Christian Dior hand bag, assorted Chinese currency and $30,000 in cash. Shepparton Police, Detective Senior Constable Gary Dean said, “The items which were stolen are very unique and should be quite easy to identify. “Police wish to speak to any person who has knowledge of this burglary, any person who has been offered any of the stolen items, any person who has seen any of these items as they are quite distinct, or any person who might have seen suspicious behaviour in the area on the day, or days leading up to Thursday, March 14.” Anybody who has further information relating to this burglary is being urged to contact Detective Senior Constable Gary Dean on 5820 5800, or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
