On trend for winter

Winter may have only just begun but we have already felt the intense cold and seen those frosty mornings. So, while the weather is dreary and unwelcoming, that doesn’t mean your home has to reflect that. Changing up your space can make a dramatic difference to the environment of your home, but where do you begin? Here are some styling trends to incorporate into your home this winter.

Faux fur

Snuggle up on the couch with a beautiful, fluffy faux fur throw blanket or add some cushions or a rug to instantly make a space feel extra cosy and inviting. Stick to cream, grey and brown shades to really soften a space and give calming atmosphere.

Earth tones

Monochrome interiors have become popular for their simplicity but can feel cold and stark in the cooler months. Earthy colours such as terracotta, rust, and cinnamon accented with blush pinks and berry tones can warm up a space and be added easily with some artwork or bedding.

Go coastal

Coastal is no longer just navy and white stripes. Choose patterns and various shades of blue layered with natural tones, add grey and deep navy and layer the bed and couch with thick, snuggly blankets and pillows that you can snuggle into on those cold days.

Abstract art

Abstract décor is fun, bold and can add personality to the home. It employs bold geometrics, clean lines, and playful colours to create an abstract look, which can be worked into artwork, cushions, or even a floor rug.
