A DAY TO REMEMBER… Strathmerton couple Lauren Hickey and Kevin Wilson were married at Strathmerton recently. Pictured, the beautiful bride on her special day. Photography by Dale Wright.IF you’ve recently become engaged then no doubt you’ve began the exciting task of planning your perfect wedding. It’s easy to get carried away in the excitement, but sometimes it’s important to put into perspective your wants and needs versus your budget and just how far it will stretch. Start with your needs: photographer, venue, bridal wear and then incorporate your wants, this way, you’ll find it easier to decipher what your budget will accommodate.
You only plan on getting married once, so stay true to the things you and your partner want, whether your friends and family think it’s silly or not, it’s your wedding and you want it to be perfect.
Let your loved ones in on the process, share some of the tasks, it will lessen your stress levels as well as really making them feel involved as an important part of your day.
Keep perspective. Whether you are planning a wedding, approaching your nuptials or celebrating a number of years together, the perfect wedding is relative. It is the love you share and the life you plan together amongst family and friends, which will deliver you the perfect marriage. Your perfect wedding is just the first step along the way.
