THE Nationals Member for Shepparton, Jeanette Powell has announced The Victorian National Party’s Annual State Conference will take place at the Country Comfort, Shepparton on Friday 13 and Saturday 14 May.
The 95th Victoria Annual State Conference commences on Friday evening with a function hosted by The Nationals Woman’s Executive, followed by the Conference Dinner. Other highlights include the Young Nationals breakfast on Saturday morning, briefings by Ministers and policy decisions.
Mrs Powell said The Nationals party is dedicated to advancing the interests of those who make their lives and business in regional Victoria.
“A great strength of The Nationals is the opportunity it provides members to participate in all the Party’s processes,” Mrs Powell said.
“At Conference, branch members will debate policy motions and, if carried they become Party policy.
“The 13 National Party Members of the Victorian Government then provide a strong voice on these issues in Parliament.
“Apart from branch members coming from all over Victoria, there will be 6 Federal National Party Members of Parliament in attendance.
“I am pleased Federal Parliamentary Leader of The Nationals Warren Truss, along with Barnaby Joyce, John Forrest, Nigel Scullion, John Cobb and John Williams will join us in Shepparton this week,” Mrs Powell said.
