IN just over one month, hundreds of locals will get their groove on for the 24th Goulburn Valley Hospice Rallye.

Running on May 4 and 5 the rallye will once again leave Shepparton but this time will take drivers on an interesting route to the spectacular rolling hills of Eildon.

The Goulburn Valley Hospice Rallye has proven to be a fun event for thousands of car enthusiasts over the years showcasing their pride and joy. Past events have seen participants jump in their ‘20s model vehicles, classic VW, Ferrari, Volvo or modern family sedan and travel the round trip over two days.

Rallye chairman, Min Innes-Irons and committee person, Andrew McNab said, “We had quite a successful year last year and everybody enjoyed the magic theme, so we decided to once again have a fun theme that people can really get into.

“On the Saturday night there will be a ‘favourite musician or band’ theme, with prizes awarded to best band and individual performers on the night.

“We’d like to thank Darryl Twitt for being one of our sponsors for so many years and offering up a prize of an Audi Drive Day.

“There will be lots of great hill driving and the course is a very navigationally user friendly course.

“We encourage rare and interesting vehicles to come along, but you can just jump in the family car and come along.

“It’s a fun event that helps to raise money for a fantastic cause. Last year we raised just over $60,000 for Goulburn Valley Hospice Care Services.”

Accommodation is available to book at Holmesglen at Eildon or Eildon Parkview Motor Inn.
