With only a few weeks until Christmas, a group of locals have come together to create a wonderful festive decoration for the town of Mooroopna. The Mooroopna Men’s Shed, with help from artists at the Mooroopna Education and Activity Centre (MEAC) have spent the last few months building and painting Santa and his sled full of presents.

Mooroopna Men’s Shed president, Severin Duhring said, “We worked on it once a week over the past few months, and the wonderful artists from MEAC came over and helped to paint Santa and his sled.

“It turned out great, and I want to thank everyone involved in the project.”

The finished piece will sit on the lawn area in front of the Mooroopna police station, with hopes to have a Moooving Art cow in front to ‘tow’ the sled.
