The Victorian government is calling for applications for scholarships up to $10,000 in value, for women who are looking to pursue leadership and development roles in sport and active recreation.
Local member for Northern Victoria, Mark Gepp MP said, ”This is a great opportunity for women in Northern Victoria to help shape the sporting agenda through the popular Change Our Game scholarship program. Sport is an integral part of our community and the Victorian government is proud to play its part in helping emerging female leaders enhance their skills and gain new opportunities.”
Scholarships range from $2000 to $10,000. The program has so far enabled more than 100 women working and volunteering in sport and recreation to access professional learning and development opportunities.
The Change Our Game scholarship program will fund activities such as organisational governance training; working with boards and committees; media training; leadership and management skills; sports administration and networking opportunities. Applications will close on 4 October.
