Seema Abdullah has declared she will run again for Council.

“Over the past four years I have worked hard in my role as a Councillor, listening to the people of Greater Shepparton and playing a part in getting things done for our community,” she said.

“I am proud of the achievements of this Council’s positive leadership that has put Greater Shepparton on fast track for socio-economic growth.”

Seema Abdullah, who is an outgoing Councillor and Mayor, said there were still issues she wished Council to address, including: Water security for farmers, better train services and public transport, the Shepparton bypass, improved health services, better early childhood education and care, affordable housing, and improving employment and services to support businesses at the other end of the Coronavirus pandemic.

“These are all on my agenda and I am committed to doing everything to make this happen,” she said.
