The group were taken to the event at Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) where they were taken through footy skills and drills workshops from a member of Collingwood FC’s coaching staff.
The youngsters learnt methods to improve their tackling, handballing and kicking skills before settling into reserved seats to watch the weekend’s Round 15 showdown between Collingwood and Hawthorn live.
Shepparton McDonald’s licensee, Doug Pearse said the McDonald’s Mighty Footy Trip is a wonderful opportunity to turn a child’s dream of watching a football game at the MCG into a reality.
“Through the McDonald’s Mighty Footy Trip, we hope to inspire many more junior footy fans and stars of the future by offering them the chance to see footy’s elite play on Melbourne’s main sporting stage,” he said.
