EXCITEMENT and eccentricity will define Shepparton next year with the recent announcement of a colourful, fun-filled Riverlinks 2019 program.

The region will be overflowing with culture when Riverlinks proudly hosts a spectacular array of entertainment. The 2019 season was announced during a special launch event, including something for everyone, with circus, cabaret, ballet, drama, concerts and musicals.

For those interested in theatre, there are several wonderful options, including a dramatic and moving portrayal of female nurses and doctors in war in ‘Hallowed Ground’ and the brand new dysfunctional family comedy-drama ‘Spencer.’

Music fans can keep their ears perked with ‘Bach Concertos’ as presented by the Melbourne Chamber Orchestra, a production of ‘The Sapphires’ written by Tony Briggs and ‘Lady Beatle,’ the songs of The Beatles performed with a cabaret twist.

There’s also fun for the whole family, with a presentation of Paul Jennings’ iconic ‘The Gizmo,’ Roald Dahl’s ‘The Twits’ and Mem Fox’s ‘Possum Magic’ sure to keep the little ones entertained.

Greater Shepparton City Council’s Manager of Performing Arts and Conventions at Riverlinks venues manager, Ken Cameron said, “We are very excited for the 2019 season! There is so much variety; we look forward to welcoming you to one of our performances very soon.

“Thanks to everyone who attended the launch, it was a huge success. It was great being able to chat with patrons who regularly attend our shows and continue to support the Riverlinks season each year.”
