LOCALS will get the opportunity to try out everything traditionally Italian this weekend, with the second annual Italian Festa set to entertain.

This Saturday, April 6 from midday until 9pm, Shepparton Showgrounds will come alive with a fun-filled evening of entertainment. Entry is free and everyone is welcome; there’s something for the entire family! Throughout the day, there will be live performances, music, dancing, carnival rides and sideshow attractions.

And of course, there will be lots of delicious and enticing food. Following the success of last year’s event, the festa has attracted interest from vendors across Victoria, with iconic Melbourne restaurant 400 Gradi set to come to Shepparton to serve their award-winning pizza and pasta. There will also be a barbecue, Italian sausages, cannoli, zippoli, cakes and all sorts of Italian sweets and treats.

Organised by the Shepparton Italian Social Club, the event promises to be an exciting celebration of all things Italy. Shepparton Italian Social Club treasurer, Vince Tassoni said, “This year will be even bigger than last year with way more food and entertainment.

“There will also be kids rides throughout the day and we have fireworks organised for the evening.”

Shepparton Italian Festa will take place at the Shepparton Showgrounds, this Saturday, April 6 from midday until 9pm. For further information, visit their Facebook page ‘@sheppfesta.’
