FIFTEEN-year-old Jordan O’Dwyer of Numurkah has been selected for this year’s Australian Rules Under 15 Victorian Country Squad.
The captain of St Mary of the Angels, Nathalia and Goulburn Murray Schoolboys football teams will now compete in next month’s 2011 School Sport Australia Championship in Canberra.
Jordan says he couldn’t believe news of his selection when it arrived and hasn’t ruled out an AFL career.
“It would be amazing but it would be a lot of hard work before I could get there,” he said.
Preparations for next month’s competition will see the squad compete against their Under 15 Metro Squad counterparts two weeks prior to the championship.
