Celebrating six years in the Goulburn Valley, this event helps to raise awareness of the work that the RSPCA do and to raise funds for RSPCA animal shelters, Inspectorate services and community education. Million Paws Walk Regional Coordinator, Tony Mac said that in 2011, RSPCA Victoria aims to raise over $431,000 from the Million Paws Walk. “It’s a big target but last year an incredible 25,000 people across Victoria took part and locally, our numbers continue to grow.” Mr Mac said the community support is fantastic, “We are seeing more and more businesses helping like Baker’s Delight city and Riverside plaza and SPC Ardmona Social Club and SPCA themselves have been fantastic.”

Registrations are from 9am this Sunday with the walk starting at 10am. “The raffle will be back as well as plenty of displays and food.” For more information including costs and details on merchandise, visit the walk website at www.millionpawswalk.com
