THE housing construction industry is booming in Greater Shepparton.

For context, between July 2019 and March 2020, a whopping $124 million was spent in Greater Shepparton alone on new dwellings and renovations.

With the building trade roaring, building material suppliers such as Shepparton’s Bowens have been as busy as ever.

Bowens, an independent, family-owned trade and hardware supplier has been around for 125 years with three branches in regional Victoria and 12 branches in Melbourne.

The Shepparton branch has been operating for 13 years and supplies a huge range of innovative products to builders and tradies including:

  • Spantec steel floor systems
  • Dincel structural walling
  • Perma composite claddings
  • Wedi bathroom panels
  • Arbre engineered flooring

They also have access to Astec paints and stock a large range of James Hardie products as well as huge stocks of framing timbers including the Wesbeam e-frame M10 framing, which is becoming a great alternative to pine.

The Shepparton store on Wheeler Street services a huge area from Bendigo to Albury, and from Kerang to Mansfield with two crane trucks and two four-tonne trucks they can offer a prompt turnaround to all areas.

Bowens is located at 7 Wheeler Street, Shepparton and can be contacted on 5822 2364.
